Our Grape Juice has been harvested and all preparations for the upcoming harvest are in full swing. Since there is Dornbirn Autumn Fair next week, we have to juggle our work a bit but we will also start harvesting.

Following Grape Juice, every year Junger Welschriesling is the first wine to be harvested. Its grapes should not become too sweet so that the wine remains light and refreshing. But due to the hot and dry summer, all other grapes are following closely behind and we will just continue harvesting afterwards. First will be the light whites, followed by the early reds and so on. When we’re done it will be early October already and then we will wait for something sweet as a finale. It will be either Icewine or Trockenbeerenauslese, depending on what vintage and weather will allow us to get.

Since harvest and Dornbirn Autumn Fair are somewhat colliding this year, our booth will mostly be staffed by an all womens crew. Not bad at all :)
