A bottle of Rosé with the 'Finalist' award.

No it’s not about the Football World Cup. Still, our Rosé 2013 got to the Finals. The Finals of the Burgenland Wine Competition 2014 that is. Out of almost 1500 wines, the 5 best of every category were selected by professional wine tasters and competed against each other for the first place and “State Winner” in a final tasting.

On thursday a big Gala was held, giving the public the possibility to enjoy a sip of every competing finalist before the results where disclosed and the winners awarded. It was a great tasting and it is likely that every single finalist would be worthy of the first place but there can only be one of each category. In the end our Rosé wasn`t among the winners. Of course we’re a bit dissapointed but not much to be honest. It could have easily gone otherwise and it’s now official that we have produced one of the very best Rosé Wines of the Burgenland this year. So we enjoy the summer weather and just pour another glass. Cheers!
