The 2015 harvst is almost over but not completely yet. Looking back it was just great, awesome qualities, nice yield and we could not have wished for any better weather.

In fact the harvest had us completely occupied for the last two months so there was no time for any “News from the Sonnenmulde”. But now it is mostly done, the wines have fermented, the reds have been pressed and they are starting their ageing process in our cellar.

Obviously, most of the wines now need a few months or even a year or two time before one can start to drink them. But for anyone who does not want to wait that long, we have the Junger Welschriesling. The 2015 is already bottled and available. We enjoy it a lot, so go forward and taste the our first wine of the great 2015 vintage.

There is only one thing left before we call the harvest finished and please keep your fingers crossed for us! We are still waiting to pick sweet Dessert Wines, Icewine and Trockenbeerenauslese to be specific. More on that will follow really soon!
